Your local Douglasville installer

Blinds installation in Douglasville is a measuring job first.

Most blinds that disappoint somebody failed at the tape measure. An eighth of an inch too wide and the headrail will not drop into the opening. An eighth too narrow and you live with a light gap down both sides for the next fifteen years. That is the whole reason we do not hand you a box and wish you luck. We come out, measure every opening, check each one for square, note the depth of your casing and whether the window cranks outward, and quote from those numbers.

The 1980s and 1990s brick ranches off Highway 5 have shallow aluminum-framed openings with nowhere to hide a deep headrail, so they usually take a 2 inch faux wood on an outside mount. The 2000s subdivision builds in Chapel Hill and Hunter's Ridge have deep drywall returns that take an inside mount cleanly and carry a 2.5 inch slat well. The Tributary cottages were drawn to a New Urbanist plan with tall narrow sash, where a 1 inch slat keeps the proportion the architect intended. And the custom builds out along Bright Star and Anneewakee Trails arrive with transoms and sidelights that have to be templated rather than measured.

Being based in town means there is no mileage built into your number and no waiting for an installer to be routed west out of the metro. If a slat cracks or a lift sticks two years from now, you call 770-949-9020 and we come back. What the measure decides

Six things we settle at your window, not on the phone.

Inside mount or outside mount

A deep return lets the blind sit inside the opening so your trim still frames the window. A shallow aluminum-framed opening does not, and forcing it there is how you end up with a headrail that fouls the crank. We take the depth with a rule and decide on the spot.

Faux wood where Douglas County humidity earns it

Summer dewpoints here sit in the low 70s and pollen season runs hard from mid-March. Real wood is the better looking material and we are happy to sell it, but a bathroom, a laundry room or a kitchen window over a sink is work for engineered faux wood, which does not move with the moisture.

What Chapel Hill and Hunter's Ridge usually order

The subdivision builds here lean on a 2.5 inch faux wood in a builder white through the secondary bedrooms and a stained 2.5 inch basswood in the living and dining rooms. We carry the whites and creams that line up with builder-grade trim, so the headrail does not read as a different color to the casing beside it.

Cordless lift, because of the children in the room

Cordless is standard on most of what we hang now. Nothing dangles, nothing loops, and the blind holds at whatever height you leave it. Where a wide opening genuinely needs a continuous loop, the loop gets a tension device anchored to the wall rather than left hanging.

Rental and portfolio work along the Highway 5 corridor

Landlords in and around Douglasville tend to want one slat, one color and one mechanism across every unit, so a damaged blind is a part swap rather than a reorder. We price that as a package: from $12 per square foot installed on ten units or more, with the SKUs recorded for you.

Service that comes back

A blind is a mechanism and mechanisms need attention eventually. Ours are warranted for the life of the mechanism on hardwood lines, and the number you call is the shop here in Douglasville. No regional support center, no ticket queue, and no mileage charge for coming to this side of the county.

What blinds cost in Douglasville

Honest numbers before we come out.

Blind pricing in Douglasville is the same pricing we quote anywhere in Georgia. Being local does not raise it and we do not add a line for the drive.

$14 - $32 / sq ftinstalled, faux wood through real basswood

Faux wood lands $14 to $20 per square foot installed. Real basswood hardwood lands $22 to $32. A motor adds $235 to $260 or more per blind, plus $50 to $200 for the controller. A three-bedroom subdivision house with 14 windows averages $2,500 to $5,800 in faux and $4,200 to $9,000 in real hardwood. For a portfolio of rentals, a uniform package across ten units or more starts at $12 per square foot installed so replacement slats and mechanisms stay interchangeable.

Questions Douglasville homeowners ask

What you actually want to know.

How long does blinds installation in Douglasville take?

Faux wood runs 2 to 3 weeks from measure to install and real hardwood runs 3 to 5 weeks, because every blind is cut to your openings after you approve the quote. Adding motors adds 1 to 2 weeks. The install itself is usually a few hours for a whole house.

What do blinds cost in Douglasville?

Faux wood lands $14 to $20 per square foot installed and real basswood hardwood lands $22 to $32. A three-bedroom subdivision house with 14 windows averages $2,500 to $5,800 in faux wood and $4,200 to $9,000 in real hardwood. The final number comes from the in-home measure.

Inside mount or outside mount?

We decide that at your window rather than on the phone. The deep drywall returns in the Chapel Hill and Hunter's Ridge builds take an inside mount cleanly. The shallow aluminum-framed openings in the older brick ranches off Highway 5 usually need an outside mount so the headrail has somewhere to live.

Are cordless blinds safe in a house with small children?

Cordless lift is standard on most of what we sell, and there is no loop or hanging cord for a child to reach. Where a job genuinely needs a continuous loop we fit the tension device that holds the loop tight against the wall.

Which Douglasville neighborhoods do you cover?

All of them, plus unincorporated Douglas County. We measure regularly in Chapel Hill, Hunter's Ridge, Mirror Lake, Tributary, Anneewakee Trails, Bright Star, Stewart Mill, the Highway 92 corridor, Lithia Springs and Winston.

What is the warranty on your blinds?

Our hardwood and basswood lines carry a lifetime mechanism warranty. Faux wood carries a 25-year frame warranty plus a lifetime warranty on the lift mechanism. Because the shop is in Douglasville, a warranty visit is a phone call and a short drive. The full material range is on our blinds page.
