A 29-year North Fulton installer
Alpharetta is the densest concentration of new-build mixed-use development in metro Atlanta. Avalon is a 2010s mixed-use village with tight builder-grade vinyl windows, 9 to 10 foot ceilings, and rentable townhomes that turn over quickly. Halcyon is a 2018-and-up village with similar geometry slightly north along GA 400. Crabapple is the New Urbanist village shared with Roswell. Country Club of the South and Windward carry 1990s and 2000s estate stock with palladium fronts and tier-on-tier opportunities. Milton-side custom builds carry the larger lots and the more bespoke window counts. We have measured into all of those Alpharetta markets since 1996.
What is consistent is the climate. North Fulton summer dewpoints sit in the low 70s, west-facing rooms cook from 3pm through August, and the pollen season is brutal late March through May. Plantation shutters in basswood for dry rooms and poly for kitchens and baths handle the formal openings. Faux wood blinds handle the everyday bedrooms. Motorized roller shades from Somfy and Lutron handle the Country Club of the South two-story great rooms and the Avalon stair-side transoms.
If you are pricing this for an Alpharetta home, the consult is the only honest path because the spec varies so much by neighborhood. Book the free in-home measure.
The Alpharetta defaults

For Country Club of the South and Windward formal rooms. Basswood for dry rooms, poly for baths.

For Halcyon and Country Club of the South two-story great rooms and Avalon stair-side transoms. Somfy and Lutron, app-controlled.
What Alpharetta actually demands
Avalon and Halcyon both carry HOA color books that restrict shutter and shade color choices. We handle the submission paperwork, hand over the color chip, and follow up on the approval. Most approvals turn around in two weeks; we plan the install around it.
Summer dewpoints sit in the low 70s. Our basswood is kiln-dried to 6 to 8 percent moisture content and sealed on six faces, so the panel does not bow over a decade. Poly handles kitchens, baths, and west-facing sunrooms without yellowing.
The New Urbanist village builds in Crabapple and Halcyon lean on the standard 3.5 inch louver in basswood for formal rooms and 2.5 inch poly for the secondary baths. We carry the matching whites and creams that line up with the builder-grade trim from the regional Pulte, John Wieland, and Brock Built plans.
The Country Club of the South and Windward estates carry 8 to 10 foot windows and palladium fronts. Basswood at 4.5 inch louver with hidden tilt rod is the default. Palladium customs hand-templated on site.
The Avalon and Halcyon townhomes carry stair-side transoms that motorization makes sense for. Somfy rechargeable lithium with smart-home app integration is the default for these tight townhome spec.
Lifetime warranty does not mean much if the company is in another state. Our Alpharetta warranty service is a phone call to 770-949-9020 and a same-week visit. The truck rolls from Douglasville.
