The project
Buckhead, Atlanta.
A West Paces Ferry primary suite with floor-to-ceiling glass on the east wall. The homeowners wanted full UV control for morning sleep, view-preserving daytime light, and integration with the existing Lutron RA3 they already used for lighting. We specified dual-layer motorized rollers (a light-filtering screen plus a separate blackout) on Somfy motors, integrated into the existing Lutron system.
What we installed
Three details that made the install.
Dual-layer roller shades
Light-filtering screen for daytime view preservation; blackout layer for sleep. Each layer operates independently.
Somfy motors with Lutron RA3 integration
The shades respond to the same scenes the lighting does. Morning scene drops the blackout, raises the screen; goodnight does the inverse.
Wall switches and phone control
Hardwired pico switches at the bedside plus the existing RA3 app for control from anywhere in the house.
