The project

A Lake Lanier lake-front great room with a wall of windows framing the bay. The homeowners wanted privacy from the lake-side dock but not at the cost of the view. We specified bamboo woven shades with top-down bottom-up cordless operation; the upper opening drops for daytime view-preservation while the lower stays closed for privacy from the dock-side walkway.

Natural fiber texture that softens the lake-side glare without flattening into a single tonal panel; the weave preserves the daytime view.
Top-down bottom-up operation
Dual rails let the homeowner drop the upper rail for view while keeping the lower rail closed for privacy from the dock-side walkway.
Cordless lift mechanism
Required because the great room hosts grandchildren; eliminates the cord safety risk while preserving smooth operation.
