Project case study, Columbus
Vertical blinds for a wide patio slider, Columbus
Wynnton, Columbus. Vertical Blinds in fabric verticals. From measure to install in 3 weeks, Half day on site.
The project
Wynnton, Columbus.
A Wynnton ranch with a 96 inch patio slider opening to a back terrace overlooking Lakebottom Park. The previous treatment was a stack of plastic verticals that warped at every Columbus summer. We replaced them with fabric verticals in off-white pleated panels and a valance returned to the wall on each end so the closed position reads as a clean band of fabric rather than as a row of dangling slats.
What we installed
Three details that made the install.
Fabric vertical blinds, off-white
Pleated fabric reads softer than vinyl; the off-white prevents the slider sightline from going dark when closed.
Returned valance
Valance turned 90 degrees and finished against the wall on each end; eliminates the gap that plastic verticals leave.
Center-draw cord
Single pull from the center; the operating end matches the homeowner's preferred side of the slider.
