The premium choice for dry interior rooms and formal openings. We kiln-dry basswood to 6 to 8 percent moisture content and seal all six faces of every component before paint or stain. That keeps the panel from breathing porch humidity and bowing over a decade. Lifetime warranty against warp and twist. Carries 12 stains and unlimited custom paint matching.
Engineered Poly
For bathrooms, kitchens with steam-heavy stoves, sunrooms with afternoon west sun, and any room with direct splash. Will not warp, yellow, or peel. Reads as wood from across the room thanks to modern matte finishes and an interior aluminum spine that holds tolerance through a Georgia summer. 25-year frame warranty, lifetime tilt mechanism. Hybrid Wood-Poly
The middle option. A real wood face with a poly core for moisture-prone components. Most of the look of basswood with most of the durability of poly. Good answer for kitchens with a butler's pantry, primary baths with a separate water closet, or sunrooms with morning condensation. 25-year frame warranty.
Louver Sizes: 2.5", 3.5", 4.5"
The 2.5 inch fits the tall narrow 1920s sash of Virginia-Highland and historic Newnan, plus small bath openings. The 3.5 inch is the modern default for living rooms, dining rooms, and primary bedrooms. The 4.5 inch carries the scale of 8 to 10 foot Buckhead Georgian and West Paces Ferry estate windows. Wrong louver size is the most common mistake in DIY orders.
Hidden Tilt Rod
The back-tilt mechanism keeps the front face of the shutter clean against original millwork. The visible front tilt rod reads as 1980s tract; the hidden tilt reads as period-correct for any home with formal trim. Standard on most basswood orders, optional on poly.
Tier-on-Tier & Cafe Style
Tier-on-tier splits the shutter at the meeting rail of the original double-hung sash so the lower panel privatizes formal rooms while the upper stays open for light. Cafe style covers only the lower half. Both add 15 to 25 percent depending on panel count.
Arched & Palladium Custom
