About Graber
The American manufacturer that built the modern blind category.
Graber was founded in 1939 in Middleton, Wisconsin, and is credited with several category-defining innovations in window blinds during the mid-century period, including the original tension roller mechanism that became the standard for spring-loaded shades. Today Graber sits inside the Springs Window Fashions portfolio alongside Bali and Mecho, which makes Springs one of the largest US-headquartered window treatment companies. The Graber product catalog spans wood blinds, faux wood blinds, cellular shades, Roman shades, roller shades, natural woven woods, and Virtual Cord motorization.
We have carried Graber since opening in 1996. The brand is our default recommendation for mid-to-upper tier projects where the homeowner wants premium build and warranty terms without paying the Hunter Douglas or Norman cost premium. The Graber Lifetime Limited Warranty covers most product lines for the life of the original purchaser, and the manufacturing lead time runs faster than most premium competitors at three to five weeks for standard configurations. Our Marietta, Roswell, and East Cobb installs lean Graber heavily on wood blinds and cellular shades.
This page covers the Graber product lines we install regularly across Greater Atlanta, the warranty terms in plain language, and where Graber is the right call versus where we would steer toward Hunter Douglas or Norman instead. For pricing context, see our plantation shutters cost guide.

What the Graber Lifetime Limited Warranty actually covers.
Lifetime on blinds and shades
The Graber Lifetime Limited Warranty covers wood blinds, faux wood blinds, cellular shades, Roman shades, roller shades, and natural shades against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original purchaser at the original install address. Slats, fabric, lift cords, mechanisms, and headrails are all included.
Fabric and finish terms
Fabric color and fade is covered for the duration of the lifetime term against premature degradation under normal use. Stained wood blind finishes carry the same lifetime warranty on the finish bond, with normal aging excluded. The warranty document spells out the few specific exclusions; we walk every customer through them at consultation.
Motorization and electronics
Virtual Cord motors carry a 5 to 7 year warranty depending on the specific motor. Remotes, hubs, and bridge electronics carry a 3 year warranty. Rechargeable battery cassettes carry a 2 year warranty. We register every motorized install at completion so the warranty clock starts at install date, not manufacture date.
Our workmanship warranty
On top of the Graber Lifetime Limited Warranty, we add our own lifetime workmanship guarantee. If a bracket pulls loose, a louver bar goes out of plumb, or a cordless mechanism needs servicing after install, we come back and fix it. The warranty is for the life of the original purchaser at the original install address.

Questions homeowners ask about Graber
The honest answers.
How does Graber compare to Hunter Douglas and Norman?
Graber competes one tier below Hunter Douglas on cellular shades and roughly even with Norman on wood blinds and Roman shades. On comparable specifications, Graber typically prices 15 to 25 percent below Hunter Douglas with build quality close enough that most homeowners cannot tell the difference at the panel. We spec Graber when the homeowner wants premium look and warranty terms without paying the Hunter Douglas Heritance premium.
What does the Graber Lifetime Limited Warranty cover?
Graber's Lifetime Limited Warranty covers most blind and shade product lines against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original purchaser at the original install address. Wood blind slats, cellular shade fabrics, and lift mechanisms are all included. Motorized components carry shorter terms, typically 5 to 7 years on the motor. We register every Graber install and layer our own lifetime workmanship warranty on top.
Can Graber shades be motorized?
Yes. Graber motorizes roller, cellular, Roman, and natural shades through their Virtual Cord and Z-Wave compatible motors. The systems integrate with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Hubitat through compatible hubs. Battery, plug-in, and hardwired motors are available; battery cassettes typically run 12 to 24 months between charges depending on operations per day. See our motorized shades cost guide for per-window pricing.
What is the lead time for Graber products in Georgia?
Standard Graber lead time in Greater Atlanta is 3 to 5 weeks from order to install, which is one of the faster turnarounds among premium manufacturers. Custom-stained wood blinds and specialty shapes push to 5 to 7 weeks. Motorized configurations add roughly a week for hardware coordination. We confirm the lead time at the consultation.
